Project Details:
The Alien Technology Project consisted of two concrete
tilt up buildings with a steel structure all glass connector building
totaling 85,000 s.f. Approximately 30,000 s.f was designed and built
with a wide open office usage. The remaining 55,000 s.f. was designed
for their manufacturing process of RF Tags.
With functionality and process flow in mind, the project was designed
with four separate, but complete sections. When entering the building,
you are encaptured by the link building. Standing roughly 40', this
glass skin structure houses the lobby, where you can be directed
to either the office side or the manufacturing side.
Veering to the left, you will go down an "alienesque tube" to be
greeted in the office space by two automatic "star trek" doors that
swoosh open. Veering to the right, you would be greeted by an air
shower and changing room to enter the manufacturing side. Though
it wasn't built, the manufacturing side was designed for H3, H7,
and B2 occupancies with multiple cleanliness levels from class 100
to class 10,000 to class 100,000. A complete waste treatment systems
for chemical discharge was incorporated.
While with a previous employer, Keith DeBrine managed all aspects
of this project to include design, construction, Audio Visual, Security,
and Data Cabling. Since the funding for this project came from a
developer loan as well as funds directly deposited by Alien with
the developers bank; loan draws, project financing, and budget tracking
and management all fell under Keith's responsibilities on this project.
